Good morning Comet families,
This week we will be monitoring the extreme temperatures and heat index outside. Due to the nature of the weather, our staff at Coulston will make the appropriate adjustments for activities outdoors. This may include recess and other activities.
Keeping our staff and students hydrated will be important as well, so feel free to send a water bottle to school to fill up at our water stations.
We will also try to get students quickly on the buses, so the drivers can begin their routes. The health and safety of our staff and students are our top priority. Feel free to contact the school with any questions or concerns. Please stay cool and safe.
Just a reminder that our PTO meeting is this evening at 6:30 in the library. We look forward to seeing you there!

Meet the Teacher Night has been rescheduled!!!!
Parents we are going to try this again!!!..... Meet the teacher night will be Monday, August 14 from 5:30 -6:30 pm. We are still under renovation and have some areas of the building that will not be accessible. Just a reminder that the Kindergarten classrooms are temporarily down the Art hall. Since space will be limited, we are asking all visitors to come and visit your Child's classroom, drop off any additional items for the classroom, and make room for others who are also coming to visit this evening. Thanks so much for your patience during this time! Parking is available in both parking lots in the front of the building, as well as the back lot. You may also enter the flagpole door and main entrance. We are looking forward to seeing everyone Monday evening!

Good afternoon parents!
Tomorrow is our first full day of school, and we are excited to see all of our Coulston Comets. A reminder tomorrow is a normal school day, and not an early release day.
Please see the attached item for car rider drop-off/pick-up information. Please remember that in the first few days the line moves a little slower, so please be patient! If you have not picked up your car rider tag, please do so before the end of school Wednesday. Last year's car rider tags cannot be used this year. Here are a few tips to assist in the line flowing more smoothly:
Give yourself plenty of time. Give all of the hugs and kisses prior to pulling up! Make sure your child has their backpack etc. ready to go when exiting the car.
Do not get out of the car, as this becomes dangerous with all of the car traffic.
We appreciate your help keeping everyone safe in the car rider line!
If your child will be riding the bus, parents can find the information on Infofinder at
http://www.infofinderi.com/ifi/?cid=SCS5QTZ7SAUC . Please look over the bus information prior to school starting on Wednesday. We are asking that you be patient the first few days, as the buses may run a little early or behind as they get used to the route.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to the school.
We look forward to seeing all of the students tomorrow morning.
